This is how our history began

Our father and founder of Aedo Tailor’s shop, Mr. Hugo Aedo Villena, was born in Temuco on the 1st of October of 1926. He learnt the trade at a very early age at the “Arbiter Tailor’s shop” in Temuco, where he worked until he was 23 years old, with his uncle, teacher and mentor, Mr. Daniel Sanchez Aedo, whom always taught him the importance of perfection and the excellence in design, choice of fabrics and the details in tailoring.

At the age of 23 he traveled to Santiago, seeking new horizons, and thanks to his knowledge and experience, he began to work for the tailor’s shop of the famous store, “Falabella”, located in what today is the Paseo Ahumada (the Ahumada Walk) in downtown Santiago. Next year he ventured in becoming independent, creating his first office and tailor’s shop, located in the Casa Colorada, (the Red House, which is now considered national heritage).
